Early Tuesday morning, things got a little wild at FSU Charter Elementary in Pembroke Pines, FL when Officer Emilio Rubido swooped in to tackle a suspicious character attempting to break onto campus. Armed with a detailed description (think: all green attire with a long tail), Officer Rubido swiftly tracked down the suspect – an iguana! – and brought them into custody without a hitch. Adding to the action-packed scene, School Resource Officer Victoria Lima was on standby, keeping a safe distance while the iguana was escorted off school grounds. Pembroke Pines Police Department was quick to commend the officers for their swift and efficient response, ensuring the safety of the school community.
